Project Description
SouthMED is a landmark international coastal development on Egypt’s North Coast, strategically located at kilometer 165 along the Alexandria–Marsa Matruh Road. Spanning 23 million square meters, the fully integrated destination is envisioned to become a global hub for luxury living, leisure, and tourism. Its prime proximity to Al Alamein International Airport enhances regional accessibility, attracting visitors from across Europe and the Gulf.
Geo-Consultants Group were appointed to conduct the geotechnical site investigation for the initial phases of the SouthMED development.
Our scope included:
Execution of borehole drilling, in-situ testing, and laboratory analysis to determine soil classification, bearing capacity, and groundwater conditions.
Preparation of a comprehensive geotechnical investigation report, providing the basis for foundation and infrastructure design.
Foundation recommendations for low-rise residential clusters, hotel zones, and lagoon infrastructure
Coordination with the master planning and structural design teams to support land zoning and concept design alignment with subsoil conditions.
