Al-Dekheila Seaport’s Berth 100 is a strategic multi-purpose terminal development featuring a 1,775-meter diaphragm-type quay wall constructed at a depth of 17 meters. This major infrastructure project integrates advanced marine engineering with extensive soil improvement and deep foundation systems to support heavy-duty port operations and enhance cargo-handling capacity.
Geo-Consultants were appointed by the Egyptian Ministry of Transportation as the supervising geotechnical consultant for the Berth 100 project. Our scope covers on-site supervision and technical verification of all ground-related works.
Supervision and verification of soil improvement techniques, such as Prefabricated Vertical Drains (PVD), Vibro-Compaction (VC), Dynamic Compaction (DC), and Rapid Impact Compaction (RIC)
Oversight of deep foundation construction, including diaphragm walls and piles reaching depths of up to 38 meters
Quality assurance for excavation, backfilling, and compaction works in both land-side and marine-side environments.
Coordination with structural and marine teams to ensure geotechnical parameters are properly implemented in quay wall and superstructure components, including back and front beams, slabs, and crane foundations.
